Invisalign!!!!

Hi,
I just recently started using Invisalign braces. I was sponsored by a patient from a Palo Alto dentist through Dr. Nidhi Pai. I absolutely love the environment there and all the workers are really welcoming.
I am currently on my third tray for my Invisalign. For those of you that don't know about Invisalign, you get molds of your teeth and then they use those molds as well as scans to make these plastic braces that are just like retainers and you have to wear them all the time every day for two weeks except for when eating and drinking.
At first I had a lot of discomfort on my teeth because it was super tight but that just means its working :). When you put on a new tray of course it is going to be tighter than the previous one.
They also apply these little white dots on certain teeth that need help pulling your teeth into place. This was very uncomfortable for me, especially when I would eat where the dots were located like on the edge of one of my teeth. After a while I got used to the dots, but they sure made me uncomfortable.
Anyways this is kind of a ramble. Ill post some photo updates later.

My Childhood Town/House

I grew up in Renton, Washington. I lived with my three sisters and my mother. my house wasn't at the fanciest places to live. I lived right next door to my grandfather and cousin. This made it easy to go over to visit anytime I wanted. the path way to my grandfathers house had a thorn bush blocking our way over. I remember me, my sisters, and my cousin hung out all the time when we were young and had trouble getting across the fence to my grandfathers because of that bush, but they later cut it down, thank goodness. My house was blue and fairly small. We had a stairway on the side of our garage that we had to walk up to get to the front of our house. We lived across the street from the water front. our streets were fairly busy with cars passing through.

We lived down the street from the Boeing Airport. I remember having to walk up the hill to my school, which was a pain because that hill just kept on climbing up and up, further and further. by the time i got to school, I was completely exhausted.

Response to "Where the World Began"

In the reading, "Where the World Began," i liked how Margaret, the author, goes into detail about what she's talking about or describing to the reader. she literally paints a picture. i noticed she kept bringing up dullness in her writing. some of the vocabulary was unfamiliar to me and difficult so i had to look those words up to understand what i read, but overall nothing was too confusing.

The place i chose to visit

I have a two year old son who loves to go outside and play. I figured, for my essay i would go explore a play ground that i havent been to before with my son. the park i went to was fairly small. it has one adult swing and a baby/toddler swing for young ones. there is bark chips all over the floor of the playground and one small jungle gym. from the look of things, i could tell that this park is quite old, or at least that its been there for a while. i spent most of the afternoon there with my son, and noticed that very few children play there. the very few children that did come to play seemed to enjoy the jungle gym, even though it was old. i guess thats just kids though; anything they can play with is fun. i thought it would be a great place where i could bring my son to and where i could do my paper. i think ill be going there more, seeing that my son loved it.

writing about people

i have found it very difficult to focus on just one characteristic to write about someone. you would have to know a lot about that one characteristic in order to have a great paper. a lot of times i tend to write about more than one characteristic because there can be so many good things about that particular person. focusing on one is tough.
